Our great Rishi and Saints, through their ability of foresightedness, had established that the present birth is the result of our past deeds. Mrityu Lok or earth is the place where a person has to reap the results of his past karmas. Before getting salvation or Moksha, one has to take birth again and again unless the effects of his past deeds are not neutralized.

Karmas and Rebirth

Our astrology system emphasizes on the existence of rebirth. According to Hinduism, the present life is the reflection of our past deeds of earlier life. Past or accumulated deeds (karmas) create the circumstances and existence of our present life. The connection between the present and the former life can be understood through astrology. Generally, if Rahu and Ketu in 1st chart have similar pattern in 2nd chart, then those two persons are karmically connected (through their collective past lives karma).

If Rahu or Ketu are conjunct another karmic planet like Saturn in both charts, then surely there is a karmic bond between them.

The demonic head is known as Rahu and the demons body that fell away is known as Ketu. Together Rahu and Ketu, also known as the dragons head and the dragons tail are ever vengeful at the Sun and the Moon for their betrayal and therefore throw a shadow on the two planets causing the eclipses taking their light away every time and again.

Just like Rahu and Ketu eclipse the Sun and the Moon so they eclipse our human experience. Depending where they sit in our natal chart is the area in our life they overshadow and create darkness and challenges in as well as bringing the opportunity for new light, great fortune and spiritual advancement.
